- Overview: The KCA-iP300V USB Direct Connection Cable for iPod allows you to connect compatible iPods with a USB-equipped Kenwood multimedia head unit that also features an audio and video 3.5mm minijack input. This cable enables the head unit to control and charge the iPod while connected, as well as enable high-speed iPod data communications of 12Mbps. You will be able to listen and view your iPod's music and video files with your compatible Kenwood multimedia head unit. This 59" cable has an iPod dock connector on one end and a Type A USB plug, 3.5mm stereo miniplug, and a 3.5mm video miniplug on the other end.
- iPod Compatibility: The KCA-iP300V is compatible with Fifth Generation iPods (iPod with video), iPod nano (1st, 2nd, 3rd generation), iPod classic and iPhone. Be sure to download the latest version software for iPod from Apple's website before connecting this cable to your compatible Kenwood multimedia headunit.
- Note: Currently this interface does not support video playback for the iPod touch. The unit will support audio from the iPod touch. the iPhone does not support video playback.
- Kenwood Head Unit Compatibility: The cable is compatible with 2007 and later Kenwood Multimedia head units equipped with a USB terminal and a 3.5mm aux audio and video input. The compatible head units include the following Kenwood models: DNX7100, DDX7019, DDX8019, KVT-719DVD, and KVT-819DVD.
- Note: When connecting an iPod classic, iPod touch (audio only), iPod nano (3rd generation), you will need to download a firmware version update for your compatible 2007 Kenwood multimedia heaudunit. You will need to download this firmware upgrade onto a USB thumb-drive inserted into your computer from Kenwood's Website and then insert the thumb-drive into your Kenwood multimedia unit to update.
